I remember her as the cute little ukulele-playing girl who won America's Got Talent. I saw that she's got a new movie on Disney+... which actually looks good (Hollywood Stargirl; a sequel, I think). Anyway... I checked out her Instagram and... damn. I forgot how good a singer she is. Such a beautiful voice.
Asking Congress to work toward a bipartisan, common-sense solution is silly. Trying to keep guns out of the hands of crazy people isn’t the answer. Guns don’t kill people. Ok, well they do… but only because we have a mental health crisis. No other nation on earth has mental health problems (or criminals). Only us (damn you, Antifa!). We need MORE guns (and fewer doors, by the way; doors are a problem). We need to arm everyone (baristas, secretaries, teachers, surgeons, dental assistants, 3rd graders, etc.). Also, handguns aren’t enough (if we’re being honest). We need an AR-15 or an uzi… at the very least. Maybe a rocket launcher, as well.
Yes... it’s true that the Second Amendment was written over 231 years ago. It’s also true that they had muskets and couldn’t imagine your average citizen having an automatic rifle at their disposal… or mass shootings every other day. Ok... ok. Yeah, it's true that we now have a National Guard to act as that "Militia" they spoke of (not to mention the most powerful military on earth)... and that most folks seem to tune out the "well-regulated" part, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m entitled to own deadly weapons (and should be able to carry them around in public, too).
Wake up, America! Don’t let Sleepy Joe and AOC run this country into the ground! It was bad enough that the communist libs made us wear a tiny cloth mask during a global pandemic with a highly infectious virus that has killed over 1 million Americans. If they take away our guns, what’s next? Cocaine? Over my dead body.
The point is… the government needs to stay out of our lives (except for a woman’s right to choose what’s best for her body and her life; we need to ban that kind of crazy; oh, and… gay marriage and other such abominations). Stop gun violence? No. We need to stop woke snowflakes from taking away our freedoms!
Love, Death + Robots (Netflix) is one of my favorite things (a random series of animated shorts). Season 3 just dropped and there are so many good episodes, but "Jibaro" was a standout for me. There isn't much of a story. It's more of a metaphor. You'll want to Google the different interpretations, but damn it's something else. Anyway... here's a trailer for it. The series is for adults, by the way.
Just some musings from an old guy...
